    Dennis Hanson, 66 of East Grand Forks, MN passed away on Thursday, January 7, 2010 at his home surrounded by his family.

    Dennis Myron Hanson was born on March 1, 1943 in Benson, MN the son of Julius and Evelyn (Skrogstad) Hanson.
    Denny grew up and attended rural school, graduating with the Class of 1961 from High School in Kerkhoven, MN.
    He then attended Wilmar Community College learning the trade of Auto Mechanic. He then went on and attended the Minnesota School of Business in Minneapolis, MN.

    He married Ann Gustafson and to this union had two children, Angela and Tracy.

    He began working as an Auto Mechanic at Hansord Pontiac Dealership in Minneapolis, MN.
    Denny then moved to Montevideo, MN where he owned and operated a service station.

    Denny met Barbara J. Agre at a support group for widowers & divorced in Montevideo, MN.
    They moved to East Grand Forks, MN in 1988 where they both attended the University of North Dakota.
    On March 16, 1991 Denny was united in marriage to Barbara in Grand Forks.

    Denny started his own business of doing remodeling work until his retirement due to ill health.

    Family members who survive Denny include his wife Barbara of East Grand Forks, MN, children:
    Angela (Dan) Hanson and their children, Krista and Nicole of Eagan, MN, Kyle (Rachael) Agre and their children Amelia and Anthony of Fargo, ND, Stacy (Jason) Amundson and their children Noah, Natalie and Nicholas of East Grand Forks, MN, Tracy (Dean) Jaycox and their children Andrew and Caleb of Pipestone, MN, Kristin (Jody) Beauchamp and their children Davis, Connor and Garret of East Grand Forks, MN; one brother Richard Hanson; mother-in-law: Bernice Norman.

    Preceding Denny in death are his parents Julius and Evelyn Hanson .

    Memorials are preferred.

    Memorial Service Monday January 11, 2010, 10:30 AM at Our Savior's Lutheran Church.
    Visitation Sunday January 10, 2010, 3:00 ~ 5:00 - 4:30 Prayers at Stennes Funeral Home.

    Visitation: One hour before the service at the church. Arrangements are with Anderson Funeral Home in Montevideo.

    Survivors:
    Daughters, Angela (Dan) Hanson and Tracy (Dean) Jaycox; sister, Connie (John) Berry; brother, Ralph (Ionia) Gustafson.
