Oliver was my (Justine Anns) grandfather, son of Bertha Boyum who was the daughter of Aase Torsdotter Svaeren. Nora is Oliver's sister and Ole was their paternal uncle.

Education was very important to my Boyum relatives.
My ggrandmother, Bertha, attended college - unheard of for a woman of her times. She was a teacher.
Her daughters Eunice and Nora were also teachers and Nora wrote several books, while Eunice wrote only one. Nora then became a librarian.
The books were mostly storybooks about her family and her childhood.
Occupation:
Bertha was a devout Christian Science Reader, as were most of her children.
This puzzles me (Jann Fladeboe) and I don't know if that started in Norway or when she came here. Most Scandinavians here are Lutheran.
