  	James Cowden, 75, of 501 S. Progress Ave., Susquehanna Twp., died Tuesday in Polyclinic Medical Center. He was retired as state chief surveyor; was a veteran of World War II and the Korean War; and a member of Zion Lutheran Church in Harrisburg, Steelton VFW Post 710, Harrisburg American Legion Post 1001 and Steelton Moose Lodge 382. Surviving are his wife, Lucille I. Cowden; two sons, J. Michael and Larry L., both of Susquehanna Twp.; a daughter, Bonnie Lee Hall of Boynton, Fla.; two sisters, Agnes Swartley of Steelton and Josephine Loy of New Cumberland; a brother, John W.
