    May 2013:

    I talked to Olaf Skrogstad yesterday about this photo. Olaf lives in the greater Seattle area and is 90 years old. He said that his father was Oli Skrogstad and is the gentleman on the bottom left of the photo. He thinks that the man sitting next to his father in the front row was Grimsi Sigurdson. (yes....he said that Grimsi Sigurdson was indeed "one" person. So, there is one name missing from this photo). Olaf thinks that the man in the center of the top row might have been Mundi Christianson, but he did not know that for certain.

    September 2017:

    Names on back of photo were: Leslie Thorlakson, Mundi Christianson, Oli Skrogstad, Grimsi, and Sigurdson. In 2013, Olaf Skrogstad (a Norwegian that lived in the Mountain community, identified the man of the lower left as his father, Oli Skrogstad). He believed that the man at the top center may have been Mundi Christianson.
     
    ...the man at the bottom right of the photo could be Hallgrimur Bergman Sigurdson ... he went by a nickname of "Grimsi".
    The back of the photo had names on the back. They were labeled by Kristjan "Chris" Gudmundson. Grimsi is listed on one line and underneath that name is Sigurdson. Perhaps, he meant to say Grimsi Sigurdson (who could probably have been Hallgrium Bergmann Sigurdson, who was born on 24 Nov 1886 at Thingvalla, and died on 11th January 1956, and is buried at Thingvalla in North Dakota).

    She was married to Bernard Hanson on Feb. 26, 1931, in Milton (Cavalier Co.), N.D. They moved to Columbia Falls in 1956.

    She was a member of Our Savior's Lutheran Church and the Senior Citizens in Columbia Falls.

    She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, three sisters and a brother.

    Survivors include two daughers, Marilyn Hurtt, Hoople, N.D., and Elaine Jensen, Columbia Falls; seven grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

    Services were Monday at Our Savior's Lutheran Church in Columbia Falls with burial at Woodlawn Cemetery.

He was a contractor in Fargo for 25 years and a veteran of World War II.

    He is survived by his wife; three sons, Jeff (Peggy), Burnsville, Minn., Will (Dawn) and Mike, both Minnetonka, Minn.; four daughters, Janet (Murray) Serfling, Huron, S.D., Maggie (Lyle) Heinle, Tower City, N.D., Barb (Jeff) Perreault, Alexandria, Minn., Julie (Cameron) Merkel, Harwood, N.D.; 16 grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

    Visitation: Sunday from 4 to 6 in Hanson-Runsvold Funerl Home, Fargo.

    Delores - Tootsie - Carlson, age 82 of Cavalier, ND formerly of Milton, ND passed away on Thursday, December 13, 2007 at her home in Cavalier.

    Tootsie was born to Ben and Emma (Skrogstad) Berger on February 6, 1925 in Alma Township, Cavalier County, ND. She grew up in the Milton and Osnabrock area and attended Montrose School District #1, rural Milton and Osnabrock High School.

    She married Harold Brown in 1946; they had two children, Dennis and Linda.

    She married Alan Carlson on June 15, 1973 in Milton.

    Tootsie is preceded in death by her parents, brothers Edward and Leland Berger, and her husband Alan Carlson. She is survived by her children: Dennis (Vicki) Brown, Milton, ND; Linda Brown, Fargo, ND; stepchildren: Steve (Kathy) Carlson, Colorado and Cheryl Carlson, South Dakota.
    She is also survived by her grandchildren: Kyle (Cheri Close) Brown, Milton, ND; Jamie (Chanah) King, Galveston, TX, Jennifer Carlson, Colorado and Amanda Schaefley, Fargo, ND; four great grandchildren.

    Visitation will be Monday, December 17, 2007 at the United Lutheran Church, Cavalier, ND from 5-7 PM with a prayer service at 7:00 PM. Visitation will continue on Tuesday at the Milton Lutheran Church, Milton, ND from 1:00 PM until the time of the service.

    Funeral services will be Tuesday, December 18, 2007 at 2:00 PM at the Milton Lutheran Church, Milton, ND. Tootsie will be laid to rest at the Dovre Lutheran Cemetery, beside her parents and brothers, and near her beloved former home on the prairie.
