    Knoxville, TN

    Ellen Marie Pearson, age 56, of Knoxville passed away suddenly on Sunday, October 9, 2016 at her home. Ellen was a member of Messiah Lutheran Church. She graduated from Farragut High School and Tennessee Technological University. She was a Computer Science Engineer with Texas Instruments, CTI/Siemens, and ProNova.

    She is preceded in death by her father, Dr. Robert Stanley McCluer; brother, Paul E. McCluer. Ellen is survived by her husband of 33 years, Thomas E. Pearson; son, Anders C.T. Pearson; mother, Kari S. McCluer; sister and brother-in-law, Betty and Kevin Gifford; nephew, Nicholas Gifford; nieces, Kirsten and Erika Gifford. Ellen enjoyed travel having visited Norway, Sweden, England, Germany, Austria, Belgium, Denmark, France, Italy, Canada, Hawaii, Alaska, the Caribbean Islands and most of the USA. Snow skiing was a large part of her life along with hiking, volleyball and bowling. She loved the beach atmosphere especially spending time looking for shells, sand dollars, shark teeth and turtles. Ellen was a loving wife and mother. She loved her cats and cared for all of those around her. Ellen will stay in our hearts as we remember; "Love is ... for today, tomorrow, and always."

    A celebration of life will be held at 10:00 a.m., Saturday, October 22, 2016 at Messiah Lutheran Church, 6900 Kingston Pike, Knoxville, TN 37919 with Pastor Eric Murray and Pastor Pauline Farrington-Pezzino officiating. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the John T. O'Connor, Senior Citizens Center, 611 Winona St, Knoxville, TN 37917. Click Funeral Home and Cremations, 9020 Middlebrook Pike is serving the Pearson family.
