    ...I am still working but my arthritis is real bad as we had a very bad winter, There was very little snow this winter but it was real damp and so far this Spring we have had very little warm weather. I am going to the Hospital this Saturday for X-Rays of my esophagus. I get food caught in my windpipe and the doctor wants me to have an X-Ray.
    I am also going to have some tests for arthritis as he thinks I have both oseto and rhematoid arthritis like Aunt Gusta had. Both my thumbs are getting deformed.
    He also wants me to go to an orthopedic surgeon and see if he can put a lift in my left shoe as that leg is getting shorter than the other and it throws me off balance and causes pain in my right leg.
    Sounds like I am in bad shape, doesn't it? At least this new doctor is trying to do something to help me. When I went to the other doctor he would say it was all caused by nerves...

    Fred Nelson Obituary.

    Fred Nelson, passed away on January 13th, 2024, aged 71. Beloved brother of Richard (Virginia), Douglas, Robert (Marrianne) and twin sister, Diane. Devoted uncle of Laura, Danny, Pam, Jeff, Christy and Michael.
    Born in Chicago, Illinois, Fred worked within the healthcare industry, retiring as Chief Financial Officer with Amita Healthcare in 2015.
    For many years Fred and his partner Ed were snowbirds living in Palm Springs during the winter months. Following Ed’s passing in 2015, Fred made Palm Springs his permanent home.
    Fred’s interests varied from collecting washing machines and vacuum cleaners to playing cards with friends. His passion was making quilts for friends, which involved many fun trips to his favorite fabric store in Big Bear and taking his sewing machines to be repaired in Temecula.
    Fred will be missed by his family and numerous friends, especially Bob Frydrych whom he met in College.

    A Memorial Service will be held on Friday, January 26th at 12 Noon at Wiefels & Son funeral home, 690 South Vella Road, Palm Springs, CA 92264. In lieu of flowers, donations in Fred’s name can be made to The LGBTQ Center of the Desert, 1301 N Palm Canyon Drive,Suite 301, Palm Springs, CA 92262
