Nå skal vi ta turen opp til Sulitjelma og få et innblikk i livet til gruvearbeider Ingvald Hugaas. Han har jobbet i gruven siden 1933 og mottatt medalje for lang og tro tjeneste. Han har vært med på store endringer både når det gjelder arbeidstid og arbeidsforhold og er en ivrig fagforeningsmann. Har vært kasserer i fagforeningen i nesten 30 år. Han forteller også om klasseskillet som var mellom funksjonærer og gruvearbeidere.
