Michael J. Trombley, 51, of Crosslake, died at his home Sunday, September 16, 2007.

Funeral Services are scheduled for 11:00 AM, Friday, September 21, 2007 at the Brenny Funeral Chapel in Crosslake with Father Michael Patullo officiating. The family would like friends to gather Thursday evening from 6 until 8 PM and Friday morning starting at 10 AM at the funeral chapel. Burial will follow services at Pinewood Cemetery in Crosslake.

Michael was born September 29, 1955 in Minneapolis, MN, the son of Ernest and Beverly (Lux) Trombley.

He was a good man, and a wonderful son and dad. He was patient, intelligent, and a talented craftsman. For the last ten years, he has worked at Clow as a machinist. He was also a member of the Masonic Lodge (Shriners) in Minneapolis.

Michael will be missed by his sons, Christopher and Daniel Trombley, of Crosslake; his parents, Ernest and Beverly Trombley, of Champlain; his fiance, Rebecca Korsunsky, of Crosslake; his brother, John (JoAnn) Trombley, of Champlain; his niece, Jill Trombley, of Champlain; his nephew, Jim (Lindsey) Trombley, of Zimmerman; and many friends. He was preceded in death by his grandparents.

Treskjærer Martin Alfred dro til Amerika med kona Ellen Anna og deres barn, Hilda, Dagny og Erland.

Etter at Ellen Anna døde i Amerika, flyttet Alfred tilbake igjen til Norge.
Med seg hadde han en datter (Alice) og en sønn (Erland Albert). To døtre (Hilda og Dagny) ble igjen i Amerika.

Vel hjemme i Norge fikk Alfred ytterligere 4 barn utenfor ekteskap. Disse barna ble tatt hånd om av Alfreds søsken.

Alfred, wife Ellen Anna and the children came to USA.

Ellen Anna died, and Alfred went back home to Norway with his daughter Alise.

Alfred remarried and had 4 more children. But when the youngest child was 4 months old, the mother died, and Alfred was sitting alone with 4 children from 4 months to 5 years old.
One child came to his aunt, and a relative came and took care of the rest.

When Alfred died in 1944, the rest of the children came to other relatives, and were taken well care of. There are some families having it a bit harder than other.
