Alfred, wife Ellen Anna and the children came to USA.
Ellen Anna died, and Alfred went back home to Norway with his daughter Alise.
Alfred remarried and had 4 more children. But when the youngest child was 4 months old, the mother died, and Alfred was sitting alone with 4 children from 4 months to 5 years old.
One child came to his aunt, and a relative came and took care of the rest.
When Alfred died in 1944, the rest of the children came to other relatives, and were taken well care of.
