She was predeceased by: her parents, Howard Skrogstad and Mabel Skrogstad (Flom); her siblings, Melvin Skrogstad (Jone), Eunice Duden (Marlyn) and Sharon Sprague; and her brother-in-law Roger Boe.
She is survived by: her husband Ellerd Boe of Edmore, ND.; her children, Lisa Arneson (Alan) of Amery, WI, Christine Brose (John) of West Fargo, ND and Ross Boe (Star) of Orlando, FL; her grandchildren, Brady Arneson (Bethany) of Honolulu, HI, Kyle Arneson (Marli) of Portland, OR, Aaron Arneson (Rachel) of Plymouth, MN, Laura Clemetson (Ryan) of Grand Forks, ND, Joshua Brose (Hannah) of Fargo, ND, Nathan Johnson of Sabin, MN and Julia Boe of Orlando, FL; her great grandchildren, Archer, Louisa, Eden Arneson, Miley and Parker Clemetson; and her siblings-in-law, Sharon Boe, John Boe and Tim Boe (Sue). She is also survived by other nieces, nephews and cousins.
Visitation will be held on Friday, December 27th 2024 from 5:00 PM to 6:30 PM and on Saturday, December 28th 2024 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at the Liberty Lutheran Brethren Church (1702 32nd Ave N, Fargo, ND 58103). A prayer will be held on Friday, December 27th 2024 at 6:30 PM at the same location. A funeral service will be held on Saturday, December 28th 2024 at 1:00 PM at the same location.

Melva Boe Obituary
Melva Boe, age 78, of West Fargo, ND, went to her heavenly home with Jesus on December 18, 2024 at Eventide Senior Living in Fargo, ND.
A memorial service will be held at 1pm on Saturday, December 28, 2024 at Liberty Lutheran Brethren Church in Fargo, ND with visitation one hour prior. Rev. Elroy Vesta officiating. A prayer service will be held on Friday, December 27 at 6:30pm with visitation from 5 to 6:30pm all at the church. The service will be posted for viewing later on the West Funeral Home website.
Melva Lou Skrogstad was born on October 18, 1946 in Grafton, ND. She was the third of four children born to Howard and Mabel (Flom) Skrogstad. She was raised on the family farm near Milton, ND and graduated from Milton High School in 1964. She attended Dakota Business College in Fargo, ND. In 1966 she was united in marriage to Ellerd Boe of Edmore, ND. They lived for one year in Wahpeton, ND where Ellerd was attending school, and in 1967 they moved to West Fargo, ND, where they have resided since. Ellerd and Melva were blessed with three children, Lisa, Christine and Ross. She held several clerical positions over the years. Ellerd and Melva also went to craft shows selling wood products and machine embroidered products for about 10 years. Melva enjoyed traveling, flower gardening, photography and documenting family history. Many treasured memories were made on camping trips, at birthday gatherings with neighborhood ladies and Bible study groups. Melva knew she was forgiven and loved by God and saw God’s faithfulness to her throughout her life and as she looked forward to an eternal life with Him.
Melva is survived by her loving husband of 58 years, Ellerd, their two daughters Lisa (Alan) Arneson of Amery, WI, and Christine (John) Brose of West Fargo, ND, and their son Ross (Star) Boe of Orlando, FL; grandchildren Brady (Bethany) Arneson of Honolulu, HI, Kyle (Marli) Arneson of Portland, OR, Aaron (Rachel) Arneson of Plymouth, MN, Laura (Ryan) Clemetson of Grand Forks, ND, Joshua (Hannah) Brose of Fargo, ND, Nathan Johnson of Sabin, MN and Julia Boe of Orlando, FL; and great-grandchildren Archer, Louisa and Eden Arneson and Miley and Parker Clemetson, and sister-in-law Sharon Boe, and brothers-in-law John Boe and Tim (Sue) Boe, and other nieces, nephews and cousins.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her siblings Melvin (Jone) Skrogstad, Eunice (Marlyn) Duden, and Sharon Sprague, and brother-in-law Roger Boe.
