- Bygdebok For Folldal:
Farm No. 228, Subdivision No. 2 Borsungseter Midti.
The border between Folldal and Dovre previously went between Sore Borsungseter (150-1) and Midti Borsungseter. For that reason, all the three farms, Midti, Nortdre Borsungseter, and Heimtun, were located in Dovre municipality.
After 1 January, 1970 they were transferred to Folldal.
The farms are located about 900 meters above sea level, above the birch trees, have good but rock tillable soil with a good location in the steep slopes facing the sun.
The first man to clear the land was Johannes (Jehans) Guttormson Hjerkinn, born about 1695.
He and his wife, Anne, started to build during the spring of 1723. They were second cousins and got royal license to get married.
Anne had a sister, also called Anne, and she was then a widow at Hjerkinn sondre. the newly married couple got permission from her to build themselves a home at Borsungholen.
Jehans' brother, Lars Guttormson Hjerkinn, who was then the owner of Hjerkinn nordre, also had nothing against letting his brother clear land for a farm, which became a cotter's farm under Nordistugu Hjerkinn.
The sons of Johannes, Guttorm and Peder, both lived at Borsungseter, and it is probable that they divided the farm between them.
In 1801, in any case, there are two cotter's farms, Midti Borsungseter, that belonged to Hjerkinn nordre, and Nordre Borsungseter, that belonged to Hjerkinn sondre. The operators in 1801 were the sons of Guttorm and Peder at Midti, Johannes Pederson, and at Nordre, Hans Guttormson.
On the family tree on therefore shows Peder under Midti and Guttorm under Nordre.
