- Susie A. Clark, 82, of Bonita Springs, FL passed away peacefully on Monday, August 17, 2015 at her residence surrounded by her loving family. Formerly of Muncie, IN, Indianapolis, IN, and Rochester, MI, she had been a resident of Bonita Springs since 2001.
Susie was born January 26, 1933 in Brooklyn, NY a daughter of the late Jacob and Laura (Lorentzen) Bonshire. She was raised in Muncie and graduated from Muncie Central High School in 1950. Her career started as an administrative assistant for the United States Army, leading to her taking the position of office manager and retiring as a paralegal for the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers in 1988. Mrs. Clark was a member of Pelican’s Nest Golf Club in Bonita Springs and former member of Oakland Hills Country Club in Bloomfield Hills, MI. Susie was also a member of First Presbyterian Church of Bonita Springs where she belonged to the Women’s Ministry. She was a golfer who enjoyed crocheting, cooking, and reading but most important to her was the time she spent with her family and friends.
Survivors include her 7th grade classmate and beloved husband of 65 years, Frank M. Clark Jr.; loving sons, Greg (Cathy) Clark of Okemos, MI, Brian (Beth) Clark of Doylestown, PA, and Bruce (Lisa) Clark of Woodbury, NY; cherished grandchildren, Erin, Beth, Dan, Mike, Steven, and Kristen; precious great granddaughter, Eva; and brother, Fred Bonshire of Murphysboro, TN. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her siblings, Jake Bonshire and Flora (Ressler).
A memorial service to celebrate her life will be held on Monday, August 31, 2015 at 11:00 A.M. at First Presbyterian Church, 9751 Bonita Beach Rd., Bonita Springs, FL 34135.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association, Hope Hospice or First Presbyterian Church.
