    Tov arvet 1/4 av gården ved skiftet etter foreldrene i 1702. Han løste ut søstrene sine 1/2 tønne for 60 riksdaler i 1728.

    Da de skiftet etter Tov i 1739 eide boet hele gården, som da var taksert til 120 riksdaler. Boet var gjeldsfritt. Aslaug overga sin arvepart til barna samtidig, mot føderåd resten av livet. Til føderåd fikk hun 3 riksdaler av hver av sønnene, men hun fikk halvparten av hver av døtrene, til sammen 12 riksdaler i året.

    Sønnen Halvor tok over gården.

    Halvor tok over driften av gården etter foreldrene, men ble aldri fullt eier av Nedre-Særsland. Han og søsknene solgte mesteparten av gården til naboen Ole J. Åbø i 1740. Det var straks etter at skiftet etter faren var avsluttet. Det virker underlig, for boet de overtok var gjeldsfritt.

    I 1744 kjøpte Halvor tilbake 1/4 av gården. Ved samme tilfelle fikk han 33 riksdaler i - førløvspengar - av selgeren Ole J. Åbø. Det var avgift av en arvepart på en leilendingsgård, som skulle betales til jordeieren.

    Ole J. Åbø leide bort Nedre-Særsland til Halvor og husholdet hans til 1749. Da solgte han gården til odelsgutten Lars Halvorsen. Egentlig løste Lars inn gården for 176 riksdaler, men pantsatte gården straks til selgeren Ole J. Åbø. Lars arvet både gården og gjelden etter foreldrene.

    Da Hovland ble delt etter faren Neri, fikk Kittil den sydligste parten, mens broren Anund fikk den nordlige parten.

    Faren Neri var fortsatt hovedpersonen på Hovland i 1711. Han betalte da skatt for 6 personer på Sud-Hovland, der sønnen Kittil drev bruket.

    Det ble skiftet etter Neri i 1714 og boet eide mest 2 tønner i Hovland, det er halve gården. Verdi 160 riksdaler.
    Kittil hadde også vært bruker på Gvæven, som han hadde pant i. Eier av Gvæven på denne tiden var Jens Knutsen Gutehus. Gvæven ble verdsatt til 40 riksdaler. Samlet verdi av fast eiendom ble 200 riksdaler.

    Eldste sønnen Jens overtok gården. Senere ble svigersønnen Lars Lind eier.
