    Øvre-Hovde ble delt etter far Høljes død i 1705. Ole fikk den norlige parten, som ser ut til å ha fått navnet Nordre-Hovde.

    Bruker fra omkring 1704, eier fra 1707, er Ole Høljesen.

    Det var skifte i 1706 etter Sønnev. Bruttoformuen var 93 riksdaler 3 ort, nettoformuen var 83 riksdaler 8 ort. Boet eide vel 1 tønne i Øvre-Hovde, og eiendommen ble verdsatt til 45 riksdaler, en heller lav takst. Året før var eiendommen taksert til 60 riksdaler. Var det få eller manglende hus på den nye eiendommen?
    Med i skiftet var denne buskapen:
    4 kyr til 16 riksdaler, 2 kviger, 1 vetrung, 12 sauer, 6 lam og 1 geit.

    Etter matrikkelutskriften fra 1723 eide Ole med sin søster 3 tønner i gården.

    Da det ble skiftet etter Søve i 1740 eide boet 2 tønner, og taksten var 200 riksdaler. Bruttoformuen i boet etter Søve var 239 riksdaler 3 ort 6 skilling, nettoformuen var 166 riksdaler 1 ort 11 skilling.
    Denne buskapen var med i skiftet:
    1 brun 5-års gammel hest til 8 riksdaler, 1 ku til 4 riksdaler, 1 kvige, 2 vetrungskviger, 4 sauer, 2 lam og 2 geiter. Basert på størrelsen av buskapen, er det trolig at Ole og Søve hadde gitt fra seg storparten av driften.

    Odelsgutten Gunleik løste inn 1/2 tønne i 1742, og pantsatte straks etter 1,5 tønne, så Ole må ha tatt kår før dette.

    Det er begravet en Ole Halvorsen Hofde, 85 år gammel, 23.juni 1748 i Tuddal.
