    Fra Driva, tirsdag 13.oktober 1981:

    Døydde på toppen av Snøtind. Ein eldre mann Torfinn Magerøy frå Eide fall om og døydde da han siste søndag var på fjelltur oppe på Snøtind - eit fjell vel 1.000 meter over havet som er grensefjell mellom Gjemnes og Eide mellom Åndal og Isingvågen. Magerøy var på tur i lag med to slektningar da ulukka skjedde like før dei nådde toppen. Han vart henta av helikopter og sendt til Fylkessjukehuset på Molde, der ein berre måtte slå fast at han var død.

    Tussan er et fjellmassiv på Nordmøre. Det ligger sør for tettstedet Eide i Hustadvika kommune på kommunegrensen til Gjemnes kommune. De består av to fjell, men flere topper. Tussvatnet (452 moh) ligger i mellom.

    De høyeste toppene er Snøtinden (1.026,5 moh) og Stortussen (1.026 moh), som ligger 600 meter fra hverandre med ei smal egg i mellom. Toppen av Snøtinden er også det høyeste punkt i både Hustadvika og Gjemnes kommuner.
