Working in Hospice, I feel like I am constantly reminding families to remember and celebrate their loved ones with how they want to be remembered.
Today, my family got to celebrate my Uncle Tom the way he would want to be celebrated: with a golf scramble. He spent so many years sharing his love of golf with so many Floridians and teaching so many kids the game.

Dad and Tom always talked about how golf is the greatest game, and my dad said it best today... it’s the people that play that make it so special.
We saw that today with all the members that came out to celebrate one of the greatest guys I ever knew. It was so incredibly fun getting out on the course again with my Dad and brother. And we even finished 2nd. Today was filled with many laughs, tears, but most importantly memories of Tom.

Last Wednesday, our family had to say goodbye to one of my favorite people. My Uncle Tom was kind hearted, laid back, free spirited, always made us laugh, and is the only other person who loved golf as much as Dad does.

I am so grateful to have had the relationship I did with him. We were always so fortunate to spend every spring growing up, in St.Pete Beach and be able to spend time with him. For over a decade, he showed us all what being a fighter looks like. Our hearts our heavy, but he is finally at peace.

Love you, Thomas Roewer. You also will be the only person ever allowed to call me Mole-eee.
