Fred Olai Christensen, the son of Albert and Olena Christensen, was born February 19, 1908 at Osnabrock. He grew up in Osnabrock and attended the Osnabrock Public School.
Freddie was employed at various jobs in the area and about 1945 he accepted a position as custodian fo the Osnabrock Public School where he remained for 19 years.
In 1936, Fred was married to Amelia (Molly) Skrogstad Olson, the daughter of Math and Marit Skrogstad. Mollie was born September 11, 1894. She had three daughters from a former marriage - Gladys, Dolores and Marlene.
Mollie was employed as a cook for the Hot Lunch Program in the Osnabrock Public School. This program started in 1951 and Mollie was the first cook. She kept this job for ten years.
Fred and Mollie were members of the Dovre Lutheran Church. Molly died April 4, 1960 and Fred passed away December 17, 1967.

Funeral services for Fred O. Christensen, a life-long resident of Osnabrock, were held Wednesday from Dovre Lutheran church. In failing health for some time, Mr. Christensen died December 17, 1967, in a Park River hospital. He had been hospitalized for the past seven weeks.
Rev. Leonard Carlson was in charge of the funeral, with burial in Union Cemetery. The Dovre men's chorus sang and Mrs. Carl Strand was organist.
Pallbearers were Ted Thronsedt, Edward Berger, Harold Olson, Joe Giles, Einar Nelson and Morris Vollum. Albert Johnson, Gust Johnson, Joe Wedwick, Marvin Rasmusson, Alfred Morken and Reinhold Johnson were honorary pallbearers.
Mr. Christensen was born at Osnabrock February 19, 1908, the son of Mr. and Mrs. Albert Christensen. A member of the Dovre Lutheran Church, he was caretaker of the Osnabrock School for 19 years.
He married the former Molly Olson in 1936. She died in 1960.
Mr. Christensen is survived by his mother; three step-daughters, Mrs. Soffi Johannesson of Cavalier, Mrs. John Heuchart of St. Thomas and Mrs. Glenn Pearson of Chester, Mont; four sisters, Mrs. Elmer Knutson, Langdon; Mrs. Kenneth Amoth and Mrs. Ray Armstrong, Beloit, Wis.; and Mrs. C. C. Kelly, Parsons, Kans; five brothers, Ole E. Christenson, Osnabrock, Albert, Detroit Lakes, MN, Victor, Los Angeles, and Alton and Manley, both living in Kansas. He was preceded in death by his father, a brother, Willard, and a sister, who died in infancy.
