Name Lois A. Osell Birth 29 Jan 1935 Roseau, Minnesota, USA [1] Gender Female Death 11 Oct 2013 Moose Lake, Charlton, Minnesota, USA [1] - Lois A. Greene, 78, Willow River, died Friday, October 11, 2013 in Augustana Mercy Health Care Center, Moose Lake. She was born on January 29, 1935 in Roseau to Arthur and Louise Osell. Lois graduated from Roseau High School in 1953 and later graduated from Nursing School in 1956. She worked briefly at Fairview Hospital in Minneapolis. On January 26, 1957, Lois married Curtis Greene in Minneapolis. They farmed near Bruno and Lois also worked at the Moose Lake State Hospital for over 30 years retiring in 1991. Lois and Curt spent many wonderful winters with family and friends in Yuma, AZ after retirement. In 2006, Curt and Lois sold their farm of 40 years and moved to Willow River. Lois was a very active member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Bruno. She loved her retired nurses get togethers and her Thursday AM fresh caramel rolls at Peggy Sues with friends. Lois had a great sense of humor, enjoyed writing stories and poems, and also did a little bit of painting. She and Curt loved fishing, camping, visiting with friends, playing pranks but most of all loved each other and are together again. Lois is preceded in death by her husband, Curtis in 2007 and brother Eugene "Sonny" Osell. She will be lovingly remembered by her nieces, nephews, cousins, brother-in-laws, sister-in-laws, friends and her borrowed grandchildren: Bjorn Killerud and Maia Killerud. Lois will also be sadly missed by her companion, "Cricket.
Visitation will be from 4-6 PM Tuesday, October 15, 2013 in Hamlin-Hansen-Kosloski Funeral Home, Moose Lake and continue from Noon until the 1:00 funeral service on Wednesday, October 16, 2013 in Trinity Lutheran Church, Bruno. Pastor Nathan Anderson will officiate. Burial will be in Vilstad Cemetery, Partridge Twp. Memorials are preferred to one's favorite charity in Lois's memory.
